This is the direction page for the Import and Integrate group which is part of the Foundations stage of the DevOps lifecycle and is maintained by the group's Product Manager, Magdalena Frankiewicz (E-mail).
Import and Integrate group is responsible for the following categories:
Category | Direction | Description | Current focus |
---|---|---|---|
Importers | Direction page | Migration of groups and projects from one GitLab instance to another, importing projects from other software development tools like GitHub or BitBucket. | 80% |
Internationalization | Direction page | Translation of the GitLab application to many languages, localization to countries and regions. | 0% |
Integrations | Direction page | Intuitive collaboration with tools GitLab's customers rely on. | 10% |
Webhooks | Direction page | Integration with custom applications that GitLab's customers rely on. | 5% |
API | Direction page | GitLab's APIs and related tooling. | 5% |
Webhooks and API categories are in maintenance mode. We are able to respond only to the most critical and severe bugs with significant business impact. As for the feature work, we encourage Community Contributions, and there've been significant contributions in the past milestones.
Group's attention is on high-priority importers. We focus especially on Direct transfer, which is a GitLab to GitLab importer, so that we can bring it to General Availability. We've been working on Slack and Jira integrations in the past months. We'll keep moving slowly on Slack, however we discontinue further work on Jira integrations, so that we can pick up implementation of Jira importer instead.
